A heavy equipment mechanic/welder and equipment operator, Don joined Aerie 2577 in Grand Coulee, Washington, in 1967. Two years later, he transferred to Aerie 1027, in Fairbanks, Alaska. In 1991, Don re-enrolled in Aerie 2255, in Albany, Oregon.
Past Eagle Offices
Don has served two terms as Worthy President of Albany Aerie, and was State Aerie President in 2003-04. He has also served as a local Aerie advisor in Oregon, an Aerie Auditor and club manager, and has been assigned to work with troubled Aeries.
Family
He and wife Nancy – his high school sweetheart – have a blended family of seven children, 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandkids.
Interests
When he has time, Don also enjoys fly fishing, motorcycling, hiking and camping.
