Members of Aerie/Auxiliary 4422 raised $3,200 for the Make A Wish Foundation, their
special project all year.

Thanks to Eagles Aerie 3395, over 230 students at Westmount School got to have lunch
with and hear race car driver Kevin Therres walk about car safety. The "Race Against
Drugs" program was arranged by Worthy President Ross Crampton, and included lunch
provided by South Hill Fine Foods and the chance to see two race cars belonging
to Kevin and Shane Thierres.
East Mesa, AZ
The Arizona Past State Madam Presidents and Ten Year Secretaries Club presented
eight college scholarships at this year's state convention. One of lthem went to
Auxiliary 4508 charter member Tammy Gilbert, shown with Past State Madam President
Reita Rimbey. Tammy is studying Language Arts with an emphasis in sign language
interpretation.
Tawas Bay, MI
Bethany Britt and Eric Stec received $1,000 college scholarships from Eagles Aerie
2588. Presenting the awards at the Honors Ceremony at Tawas Area High School in
May were Aerie Secretary Kenneth Spahr and Trustee James Richards.
St. Clair Shores, MI
Getting a big kick out of shaving the noggin of Past Worthy President Dave Drake
is Madam President Marie Thomas of Eagles Auxiliary 3619. It happened at the Kentucky
Derby Party hosted by the local Auxiliary to raise funds for breast cancer research.
The event brought in over $1,000.
Lebanon, OH
The Special Olympics of Warren County received a $1,000 donation from Eagles Auxiliary
1395.
Special Olympians Grant Wilhelmy and Becky Haacky accepted the check from Donna
Coplinger, Madam President Margarete Parker, and Madam Secretary Betty Cloke.
Rumford Falls, MN
Rumford Falls Eagles Aerie 1248 recently had the honor of having the Grand Worthy
President John Potter perform the installation of new officers.

Grand Worthy President John Potter was delighted to accept a donation from Aerie/Auxiliary
726 for the FOE International Disaster Relief Fund.
Madam President Zoe Tolliver and Worthy President Bill Rooney presented the check
to John.
Greenville, MI
Madam Secretary Marilyn Humphrey and Treasurer Millie Howard of Eagles Auxiliary
4321 presented a representative of Camp WA-Wa-Taysee with a donation of $913. Camp
Wa-Wa-Taysee helps disabled youngsters.
Corpus Christi, TX
Lone Star State Eagles raised $70,329 for Driscoll Children's Hospital, the 2006-07
special project.
The check was presented by 2006-07 State President Tilford and Gloria Thorkveen,
Sue and State Secretary Ron Pling, Ken and Connie Zavadil, and 2006-07 State Madam
President Tommye Oliver.
Cobleskill, NY
U.S. Servicemen in Afghanistan received 10 boxes of personal care and snack items

Clinton, IL
Each year, members of Aerie/Auxiliary 593 hold a NASCAR Sunday fundraising event
for the local Volunteer Fire Dept. The lastest event raised $8,000, which was presented
to the Clinton Fire Dept. to help purchase a remote control, talking firetruck,
as shown at the bottom left of the photo, to use in teaching youngsters about fire
safety. The Clinton Eagles are the number one contributors to the Fire Dept.
Cedar Rapids, IA
Equipment that will be used by paramedics to treat spinal injury patients was purchased
with a $2,500 Eagles Lew Reed Spinal Cord Injury Fund grant presented to the local
Sheriff's Dept. by Aerie 2272.

Worthy President Fred Hovermann and Madam President Kim Hovermann of Aerie/Auxiliary
2127 presented a check for $5,000 to Tony Melendez of CASA PRAC last April 28. The
money was raised during the local Eagles' annual Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Beaverton, MI
This shout-out to members of Beaverton Aerie/Auxiliary 3655 came from TSgt. Jeremy
Kell, serving in Balad, Iraq, witht he 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, Munitions
Inspection Element. Jeremy visited the local Aerie when he was home on leave in
October, 2006. Jeremy recently applied for membership in Aerie 3655.
Aurora, MO
It's called the Henry Garoutte Scholarship Award, and it will be given out each
year by Eagles Auxiliary 3948 in memory of charter Aerie member Henry Garoutte,
who held Eagle meetings in his own home until the Aerie and Auxiliary got their
own headquarters. The first $500 scholarship was presented by Past Madam President
Debbie Owens and Madam Secretary Vicki Cornelius to John, a local Eagle Scou who
raised $10,000 to erect a monument to fallen soldiers from Aurora in the city square.

A memorial wreath was laid at the Veterans Bell Tower Memorial in Rising Sun on
April 5 by Worthy President Jerry Davis, Madam President Janet Davis, and Aerie
Trustee and veteran Otto Kelly, of local Aerie/Auxiliary 2022.
Alexandria, VA
This year's annual Bubba Merker Heart Fund Walk sponsored by Aerie/Auxiliary 871
raised $3,736.53 for the Eagles Max Baer Heart Fund. These participants enjoyed
the event.

Missouri
The Missouri Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) recently presented a check for $132,510 to the Missouri Children's Trust Fund (CTF), Missouri's foundation for child abuse prevention. With over 500 in attendance, the check was presented during the Missouri F.O.E. State Convention held June 19-21 in Cape Girardeau, MO. The CTF is the recipient of the State Presidents' Charity of Choice. Over the FY June 2007-May 2008, individual Eagles Clubs throughout the state raised funds within their communities to contribute in a collective effort to support child abuse and neglect prevention.
