Programs
Joining The Fraternal Order of Eagles opens you up to a vast world of programs and
activities that add value to your membership. From building and shaping the youth
of our communities to helping our brave men and women fighting overseas, the F.O.E.
works tirelessly each year to help make lives better.
Leading our communities starts with our youth. Each year, the Eagles offers programs
for children across the United States and Canada that help build strong faith and
values.
- The God, Flag & Country Oratory Competition encourages children to prepare three-minute
speeches centered on the three tenets, explaining what each means to them and how
they affect the lives of everyone.
- The Children’s Art Contest encourages youth to use artistic merit to help convey
what their hometown means to them, building a sense of creativity and civic pride.
- The Child Advocacy Day Contest is held each year to encourage Aeries and Auxiliaries
to hold a public event for children with appearances from local law enforcement
and other community leaders to provide safety education and a fun afternoon.
In recognition of the service provided by members of the United States and Canadian
militaries, the F.O.E. holds an annual Operation Eagle program that supplies Eagles
or children of Eagles members who are serving overseas with goods and necessities
donated by members across our jurisdiction. Aeries and Auxiliaries donate thousands
of dollars and items each year to be sent out to our recipients in time for the
holiday season.
The F.O.E. also promotes healthy competition through our International Sports Tournaments.
Each year, members gather at host Aeries or Auxiliaries to participate in individual
pool, bowling, darts, horseshoes, softball and more for the right to be called the
International Champion.
