6 January Welcome to the New FOE.com January 6, 2017 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles General 1 As you may have noticed, we've made some significant changes to FOE.com. Due to a large amount of feedback from our members regarding the user experience of the previous version of the site, we've made some alterations to increase your user experience. Major changes include: Streamlining our navigation system. Many of you brought up the difficulty in finding what you need, so we've reorganized content on the site in a way that we believe will make it easier than ever to find what you need. An improved news tool. Our new News page allows you to sort by category and find out the latest about what's going on with the F.O.E. Additionally, each charity or program with specific news items will have a widget in the right sidebar allowing you to see the latest news related to that topic. Our blog! Many members expressed a desire to hear more from Grand Aerie Headquarters leadership about what you can do to better build a successful Aerie and Auxiliary. We will be updating this blog with words from your Membership Director, Grand President's Assistants, Marketing Director, Grand Aerie Leadership and more! A refined Members-Only section. The previous version of the site featured a bloated Members-Only section packed with items that had no need to be kept behind our Members-Only wall. Our current section features only items which need to remain exclusive to members, while other items have been placed on their appropriate public pages. A dedicated Compliance page. Keeping your Aerie and/or Auxiliary compliant with the Grand Aerie is one of the most important tasks in our Order. We've created a page dedicated entirely to the Compliance process, the steps involved and how you can work to stay in Compliance. Grand Presidents Page. On the previous version of our website, the various bits of information regarding our current Grand Presidents was scattered throughout the site. We've created one page to hold all of that information, making it your one-stop shop for awards, bios, charities, tour dates and more for our Presidents. We hope you enjoy the revisions we've made to the site. FOE.com is for YOU - and we want you to have the most enjoyable online experience we can offer. If you notice anything you'd like to see different, please let us know at marketing@foe.com and we'll bring your suggestions up for consideration. - The Grand Aerie Headquarters Staff Related Posts 2017 International Convention The 2017 Fraternal Order of Eagles International Convention is quickly approaching! If you haven't already made plans to do so, we encourage you to join us July 17-20 in Grand Rapids, Mich., at the Amway Grand Hotel and DeVos Place Convention Center for all of this year's festivities. On Thursday, April 6, we will be posting registration and ticketing forms on the Convention page for all interested attendees. Pre-registration is $45 per-person, while registration at the event is $60. If you know for certain that you will be attending, we ask that you pre-register, not only to save you money, but because it allows us to better organize our events in advance of the Convention. This year's Entertainment lineup has been announced and can be found on the Convention page here at foe.com. For those wondering, we ARE doing an Eagles Night Out event again on Monday night. We hope to have entertainment for that event announced in the very near future! Sunday's Welcome to Grand Rapids Show will feature popular Motown tribute act Hitsville and comedian Rocky LaPorte. Country icon ... Making The Most of the Fall For many, Fall is the most beautiful time of the year. With the weather cooling down and football in high gear, it provides all of our Aeries and Auxiliaries with a wonderful opportunity to showcase who the Fraternal Order of Eagles are and bring new members into the fold. The social aspects of our organization are unparalleled and we encourage everyone to make use of your patios, your social rooms and more to give your family, friends and neighbors the chance to enjoy the Fraternal Order of Eagles. In addition, we hope everyone is in the midst of planning their food drives for this year's People Helping Pantries campaign. We've collected more than 120,000 food items and more than $50,000 in cash donations over three years and we're excited to watch those numbers grow this October as a part of our annual campaign. If you plan events for the fall months, let us know at marketing@foe.com and send photos from your events so we can share this information with your community.
