Grand Aerie Reopening Policy

Brothers & Sisters,

In the last few days, we have received several questions regarding whether or not Aeries are permitted to open for business yet by the Grand Aerie.

To clarify, any Aerie permitted by their State/Province to reopen for business, may do so, as long as they are following any necessary guidelines set by the State/Province regarding capacity, social distancing, indoor/outdoor seating, etc.

Any Aeries still affected by shutdown orders MUST remain closed until those orders are lifted. Once those orders are lifted, you may resume business operations in the capacity allowed by your State/Province.

Message from Grand Worthy President Ron Malz

Brothers & Sisters,

Over the last few weeks, the problems faced by the Fraternal Order of Eagles due to the coronavirus have been unprecedented.

We entered March strongly on pace for our second consecutive year of Net Gain, then – suddenly – things came to a screeching halt. Our Aeries closed, we were unable to recruit and initiate new members and several of the annual events we all look forward to were unable to take place.

Grand Convention Update

Brothers & Sisters,

In recent weeks, we’ve received many questions in regards to the upcoming International Convention in Spokane, Washington, and we wanted to take a moment to clarify a few things moving forward.

First, as of right now, the International Convention is still scheduled to take place. If the status of the Convention changes per the orders of the state of Washington, we will let all of you know as quickly as possible through all of our available communication channels.

Grand Aerie Operations Notice

Brothers & Sisters,

In order to protect the health of our employees and to continue to provide you with uninterrupted service, the Grand Aerie Headquarters will be operating with a limited number of staff members in the building each day. Those not in the office will be working remotely to answer your questions.

As we are located in Grove City, Ohio, we will be following the recommendations of the State of Ohio and will continue operating in this manner until further notice.

A Message From The Grand Presidents

Brothers & Sisters,

Due to the coronavirus situation and that fact that many state governments have forced the closure of Aeries, we will be suspending all Grand Aerie travel for the time being, including the Grand Worthy President and Grand Madam President’s travels, and will reassess future travel arrangements on April 1, 2020.

The Grand Worthy President’s Office will be in touch with those handling previously scheduled visitations and will be keeping future visitation sites informed as this situation evolves.

A Message From the Grand Board of Trustees & GWP Ron Malz

Brothers & Sisters,

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Grand Aerie continues to monitor the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation across the United States and Canada and we hope that all of our members are taking the necessary precautions to remain safe as the issue continues to evolve.

Many of you have asked us questions regarding opening your Aerie homes to members, meetings, etc., upcoming State/Provincial Conventions and our International Convention this summer in Spokane.

Regarding local business, we’re asking all of our Aeries to keep a watchful eye on the recommendations of your local government officials and to fully comply with any orders they may issue within your States/Provinces and local communities.

Eagle Village Officially Opens New Rec Center

On February 23, Eagle Village unveiled a bigger, better recreational center for residents, members, and guests to enjoy. The project, which has been under construction for the last few months, features more than 5,000 sq. ft. on the inside, and 1,200 sq. ft. for the covered deck outside. The rec center features one large open space for gatherings and celebrating events, such as birthdays and holidays, instead of the old structure’s multi-room layout.

Members of the Grand Aerie and the Eagle Village board were on hand to cut the ribbon on the new building, including Grand Worthy President Carl Burnett and Past Grand Worthy President and Eagle Village board member Jerry L. Sullivan.

Merry Christmas from Carl & Althea

Brothers and Sisters,

It’s the giving season - what better way to celebrate the holidays than by putting that charitable energy back into your community.

As we celebrate the holidays with our beloved family and friends, we should take the time to reflect on the charitable acts that took place in 2018.

Throughout the 2017 and 2018 fraternal year, more than $3,600,000 was donated to the Charity Foundation. Which is an impressive feat that exemplifies your hard work and selfless dedication to helping others.
