Related Needles, California - January 2017 Needles Aerie #2599 raised $380 for the City of Hope Research and Treatment Center with an American Flag raffle. The beautiful wooden flag was created and donated by Frank Rodriguez of Barstow. Winners of this distinguished flag were Al Townsend, Kathy Wofford and Kay Luisi. They generously redonated the flag back to the Aerie in order to continue raising money. Needles Aerie #2599 will continue to sell raffle tickets and will pick a new winner at a yet to be determined date. Money raised will be added to the original amount and donated to City of Hope. Brisbane, California - March 2017 On Feb. 15, Brisbane Eagles #3255 raised $775 for the Max Baer Heart Fund. Brisbane, California - May 2017 Brisbane Eagles #3255 recently held its annual Art Ehrmann Cancer Fund benefit, collecting a grand total of $1,950 for the fund. Brisbane also raised $418 for the D.D. Dunlap Kidney Fund. Brisbane, California - October 2017 Brisbane Eagles #3255 held a dinner for Alzheimer’s recently, raising $810 for the Eagles’ Alzheimer’s Fund. Mountain View, California - February 2017 Through its 5th Annual January Coat Drive, Mountain View Eagles #2356 collected 105 warm coats to be donated to the Day Worker Center in Mountain View. The Aerie also donated $950 to the PAL of Mountain View through its Monday Night Dinners program. Altadena, California - March 2017 Altadena Eagles #719 recently welcomed Grand Worthy President Jerry L. Sullivan for a special visit. Altadena held a Meet & Greet cocktail hour with members from Aerie #719, members from other California District 20 Aeries, State Aerie Officers and more. Following the dinner, Worthy President Jim Shirley presented a check for $250 for Jerry’s charity, Lupus Research. They also presented Jerry with a special Eagles fez.
