Santa Fe, Texas - February 2024 Santa Fe, Texas, FOE #3789 hosted the 38th Annual Cockroach Festival and BBQ Cookoff. The festivities included a dunking booth, bounce house, BBQ cookoff, live auction, live music, concessions, vendors, cake/plant wheel, raffles, and cockroach races! People came out and spent time enjoying all of the festivities. Many Eagles members also showed up and volunteered their time. Chillicothe, Ohio - February 2024 Chillicothe, Ohio Eagles #600 hosted the Chillicothe/Ross County Chamber of Commerce Monthly Business after Business networking event January 17. Roughly 150 business leaders and their employees attended, at which time Aerie #600 presented seven $5,000 checks to various 501(c)3 charitable organizations which included the following: Ross County Special Olympics, Honor Flights, Chillicothe Art League, St Judes Children's Research, First Capital Enterprises, Ross County Senior Citizens Center, and the Child Protection Center. They served about 400 plates and also provided food for two firehouses and and entire shift at a local hospital.
