Fredericksburg Eagles #4123 has been proudly supporting their Eagle Brothers, Ryan Pritt and Reggie Alcaraz, as they continue their racing careers at Dominion Raceway.

Fredericksburg, Virginia - January 2020

Fredericksburg Auxiliary #4123 and Spotsylvania Auxiliary #4391 joined together for a postal auction fundraiser where participants bid on unopened packages based on the postmark. PGWP Jerry Sullivan was the auctioneer, and the Auxiliaries were able to raise $1,840.00 for the F.O.E. Cancer Fund.

Castlewood, Virginia - January 2020

Clinch River Aerie #3305 held their 7th Annual White Christmas event, where they provided ‘Christmas’ for 160 children from 45 local families in need. Each child was given a new outfit, socks, underwear, pajamas, a coat, a blanket, a pair of shoes, and a toy from their wish list. The family was also given a complete turkey dinner and extra food to get through the days the children are not in school. In addition to what the Aerie provided, Santa handed out treat bags and stuffed animals to the children during the event as well. 

Sutherlin, Virginia - September 2019

Eagle Riders #4420 participated in the Dean Ferris Memorial Ride fundraiser to benefit the Danville Pittsylvania Cancer Association. The Eagle Riders made a contribution of $19,511.78, and over the 8 years that this event has been held, a cumulative total of $144,511.77 has been raised to help the victims of cancer in their community.

Colonial Beach, Virginia - September 2019

Colonial Beach Eagles #4315 was able to donate $15,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Together, the Aerie and Auxiliary planned several events over a 3-week period to raise the funds. They held a bucket collection drive, with the Sheriff’s department’s permission, and collected nearly $3,000 in 4 hours with the help of 7 volunteers. They raised an additional $2,000 from a brown bag auction, and they hosted a benefit dinner for St. Judes’s, where they raised $5,000 during the benefit. The last of the funds came from a $5,000 grant.

Culpeper, Virginia - June 2019

Newly instituted Culpeper Eagles #4551 participated in their first Culpeper Relay for Life and was able to raise $2,172 – with a total of $128,463 raised during the relay. They ranked 12th out of 28 teams, and took 2nd place in Spirit.

Staunton, Virginia - May 2019

The Mason Dixon Conference proudly presented the Grand President-Elects a check of $6,500 each to help off-set their expenses for the upcoming year as Grand Presidents. This year the Conference was held at the Elliot's Knob Aerie #680. 

The Mason Dixon Conference is comprised of 7 states (Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, New York and West Virginia) The Conference has helped the incoming presidents over 25 years. The Mason Dixon Conference relies on money collected from the sale of lottery tickets but mostly from donations and raffles, which takes place on the first Friday and Saturday of April.

Alexandria, Virginia - May 2019

For the last 25 years, Alva Aerie #871 has participated in a walk dedicated to the memory of Past Worthy President Bubba Merker who suffered a major heart attack and passed away at a young age. Over these last 25 years, #871 has donated a total of $200,000 to the Max Baer Heart fund. 

- Lawrence Manchio, life member of Alva Aerie #871 turned 101 on April 24, 2019. He has been a member of the Aerie for 76 years, and attributes his longevity and exceptional health to the Mediterranean diet, remaining physically active, and drinking a glass of red wine daily. One his 100th birthday, the Grand Aerie awarded Manchio a plaque to recognize his milestone.

Fredericksburg, Virginia - May 2019

In recognition for her 20+ years of service to her community through her work with the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Sue Limerick, member of Spotsylvania Auxiliary #4391, was presented the Distinguished Community Service award at the Annual NSWCDD Honorary Awards Ceremony in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
