Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan - May 2017

Moose Jaw Aerie and Auxiliary #3395 volunteered their time to work the phones at the 800 CHAB Family First Radiothon to support critical care at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. Alberta/Saskatchewan - May 2017

On March 25, Alberta/Saskatchewan Jr. Past Provincial Madam President Darlene Beaudin, together with her Provincial Officers from her 2015-16 Presidential term, presented a check for $2,872.25 to Sharon Kremeniuk of the Saskatchewan Lung Association. She also accepted a check in the amount of $2,872.25 on behalf of A.L.S. for a total donation of $5,744.50, which was raised during Darlene’s year as Provincial President.

Tucson, Arizona - April 2017

During their annual awards ceremony on April 23, Tucson Eagles #180 presented a check for $5,000 to the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Research Center. The grant was received from the Eagles’ Max Baer Heart Fund thanks to the contributions from their regular fish dinners. Pictured are President David N. Galaz, Secretary Patricia Weichert and U of A representative Cheryl House. House explained that the money will be used to obtain blood samples and store them in a data bank and tissue bank to provide material and information which researchers can use for future studies to understand the biology and treatment of human disease.

Orlando, Florida - April 2017

Orlando Aerie & Auxiliary #3496 held a fundraiser for the Russell Home for Atypical Children, collecting $1,350 for the cause. Russell Home was the first nonprofit in the country for brain-damaged children. The home consists of a nursery, dormitory wing, playrooms, living room areas, kitchen and large laundry room. The nursery, done up in bright colors with many posters and stuffed animals, is cheerful for the children. In the home is an occupational license from Nov. 13, 1951, when the home opened. Since then, it has opened its doors to hundreds of youngsters. Pictured are Geoff and Doris Robe presented the check to Administrator Betty Turner.

Madison, Wisconsin - April 2017

Madison Auxiliary #623 expresses its appreciation for the seven Past Grand Madam Presidents who were able to attend the Memorial Service for Past Grand Madam President Kathy Gonzagowski, who passed away earlier this year. On April 12, Suncoast Eagles Auxiliary #3153 presented a check for $2,000 to Gulfside Hospice in memory of Sheila Kay Scott, a Past Madam President of Suncoast #3153. The money was raised from a luncheon chaired by the Past Madam Presidents of Suncoast #3153. Lincoln City, Oregon - April 2017

On April 7, North Lincoln Aerie and Auxiliary #2576 presented checks totaling $1,300 to the local high school music department. The funds will be used to help students attend music camp. Accepting for Taft High School was Elementary Principal and Music Committee member Nick Lupo. Funds were raised through a group effort from Aerie President Mike Jones, Auxiliary President Loene Loan and Past Madam President Sandi Randleman.
