Las Cruces, New Mexico - March 2018 Aerie #4038 presented a $1,000 check to the Shattered Lives program, which is a local anti-DWI campaign that enlists the help of student actors to simulate drunk driving crashes. The donation from the Aerie will help fund next year’s program. Shattered Lives is made possible through collaborative efforts of several local law enforcement agencies, including the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department, Las Cruces Police Department, New Mexico State Police and the local sector of the U.S. Border Patrol. Kasilof, Alaska - March 2018 Six members of Kasilof Aerie #4317 and Denali, a black lab, participated in the annual Way Out Women (WOW) Snow Machine Run for Cancer in honor of their member Dwayne Whiteley, and previous members Betsy Hester and Laura Harmon, who both lost their battle to cancer. Whiteley was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and the Aerie’s have shown their love and support by helping with medical expenses and his bucket list. This year the race’s them was revolved around Patriotism and the participating members dressed up as Samantha, the Statue of Liberty, the Flag of the United States, a Firecracker and a $100.00 bill.
