Gray, Maine - October 2019

New Gloucester Eagles #4131 held their annual Camping for A Cause Camporee weekend and was able to raise $2,436 for STRIVE, which is an organization that is committed to being part of the community and assisting young teens, tweens and adults with emotional and intellectual disabilities to be able to live with dignity and respect as active members of society.


Vermillion, South Dakota - October 2019

Sunshine Aerie #2421 held a spaghetti dinner and donated the total proceeds of $4,500 to the University of South Dakota Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Following dinner, a check presentation was made by Dakota State Chaplain Kent Osborne to Dr. Mandy Williams as a grant from the Eagles' Jimmy Durante Children's Fund to support the identification and treatment of children born with cleft palate. A signature cocktail was served with 50/50 raffles held as well.

Rochester, Michigan - September 2019

Rochester Aerie #2634 held a golf outing, which included raffle items from the local businesses and community members, and a light meal. They were able to raise $2,000, and are allocating the funds to the Rainbow Connection of Michigan and the F.O.E. Memorial Foundation. The Auxiliary provided the food and organized the raffle items.

Rochester Auxiliary #2634 hosted a bunco game party and raised $565 for Miracle Quilts of Michigan, which is a nonprofit that creates handmade quilts for military veterans that have been hospitalized.

Colonial Beach, Virginia - September 2019

Colonial Beach Eagles #4315 was able to donate $15,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Together, the Aerie and Auxiliary planned several events over a 3-week period to raise the funds. They held a bucket collection drive, with the Sheriff’s department’s permission, and collected nearly $3,000 in 4 hours with the help of 7 volunteers. They raised an additional $2,000 from a brown bag auction, and they hosted a benefit dinner for St. Judes’s, where they raised $5,000 during the benefit. The last of the funds came from a $5,000 grant.
