4 September Anchorage, Alaska - August 2019 September 4, 2019 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles Alaska 0 Anchorage Auxiliary #4207 provided Anchorage Search Team with a check for $2,000. They discovered this group (AST) when their Aerie brother Herb Spencer, who suffers from Dementia, went for a daily walk but did not return home. They searched the Anchorage area tirelessly, contacting individuals along trails, placing flyers around town. Herb was found 5 days later; cold, wet and tired. When #4207’s Auxiliary Sister Marsha Lawton inquired with AST as to what the Auxiliary could do for them, their only request was to pay their annual insurance premium. The Anchorage Search Team is a volunteer search and rescue team located in Anchorage, Alaska. The team is committed to year round searches, day or night, for all citizens in Anchorage and statewide. All equipment, training/certifications expenses and costs are solely paid by dedicated team members and donations (no government funding is provided).
