Related Articles Lake Havasu City, Arizona - December 2019 Lake Havasu City Eagle Riders #4299 started a cuddly movement by selling and donating stuffed teddy bears fitted with a motorcycle jacket and the Eagle Riders emblem on the back. In order to get the project started, five local Eagle Riders from #4299 chipped in to make the initial purchase of 500 bears. The goal is that the money raised from those bears can help the organization purchase even more bears, with excess money being donated to local charities. #4299 member Tom O’Brien originally came up with the idea of the Charity Bear. Ocean View, Delaware - December 2019 In celebration of Veterans, Ocean View Aerie #4528 was proud to make two donations of $500 to the veterans at the Home of the Brave Foundation in Milford, DE. The Home of the Brave's mission is to reduce homelessness among the Military Veteran population. In addition to providing transitional housing, food and security, Home of the Brave assists with employment, counseling services, access to healthcare, transportation and locating affordable housing. Orange Park, Florida - December 2019 Orange Park Eagles #4365 held their annual Toys for Tots dart tournament, and was able to donate $1,300 worth of toys to children for the holidays. Cranbrook, British Columbia - December 2019 Cranbrook Aerie #3032 held a bingo fundraiser for the Salvation Army. The bingo players donated $728 and #3032 donated $2,000, for a grand total of $2,728. Cranbrook Aerie #3032 donated $5,000 to the Easy Kootenay Foundation for Health, to help with the purchase of a SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) scanner for the EK Regional Hospital. Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin - December 2019 Chippewa Valley Eagles #2213 held their 5th Annual Hallie Block Party. The event consisted of an auction, cake walk, chicken dinner, raffles and the evening ended with a wrestling match. From the money raised, #2213 made two donations of $5,731.37 each to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Veterans Housing and Recovery Program. Concord, New Hampshire - December 2019 Concord Eagles #613 hosted their annual free Thanksgiving dinner event for the less-fortunate.
