Syracuse, Indiana - April 2020 Lakeland Eagles #3760 in Syracuse, In. gave away free meals to families on April 25, 2020. Members provided a chicken dinner with beans, coleslaw and homemade cookies for dessert. The event lasted less than an hour and they were able to distribute 325 meals to those in need. While the meals were free, there was still an option to donate. All proceeds collected will be given to Goodwill. The money will be added to the Memorial Hospital Foundation's Cancer Fund, which is used to fund equipment. Previous purchases made from this fund include zero gravity IV poles to improve patient safety and mobility, stationary chemotherapy pumps to increase treatment availability, and portable chemotherapy pumps and pouches to improve patient treatment options. Homeless Coalition, Readiness to Learn, HUB Youth Center, Good Cheer Food Bank, and Hearts & Hammers. Paulding, Ohio - April 2020 Paulding Auxiliary #2405 have been giving "blessing bags" to the local county school children. They are averaging 100 bags per week. Loudonville, Ohio - April 2020 Loudonville Eagles #2275 providing funding to the Olive Tree Care program, which is the only licensed childcare program in southern Ashland County.
