Kalamazoo, Michigan - February 2020 Kalamazoo Eagles #526 raised $2,000 for the Bronson Hospital Burn Unit and Children’s Hospital through a charity golf tournament. Falls Creek, Pennsylvania - May 2020 Falls Creek Eagles #965 have been hard at work each week to provide a hot meal to truck drivers. Member Becky Delio has been handling the cooking, and volunteers have been helping package and deliver the meals to the truckers. They have been able to provide around 100 meals once or twice each week since they started. Rochester, Michigan - May 2020 Rochester Auxiliary Rochester Auxiliary #2634 was chartered in "1952" in Rochester, Michigan. They are very proud to say that they have one remaining Charter Sister, Verna Pennanen. Verna has been a member for 68 years. This auxiliary planned a surprise birthday party for Verna's 100th birthday. The Michigan State Auxiliary in attendance were: Clara Arnold, State Vice President, Patricia Murney, ECRP and State Secretary, Carol Palen, Past State President and Rochester Auxiliaries Secretary, Cynthia Fletcher, State Trustee and Debra Gagneau, State Inside Guard. The Mayor of Rochester was also in attendance. Member Clara Arnold presented Verna with a dinner, certificate, cake, and gifts. Naples, Florida - February 2020 Golden Gate Eagles #4028 was awarded with a plaque for supporting the ‘Naples Take a Solider Fishing,’ program. Over the years, the Aerie and Auxiliary has raised $50,000 for this organization, and has made it their primary annual fundraiser. When the program first started, the event hosted 35 soldiers, but now the event is able to bring more than 180 troops and more than 90 captains for a weekend of fun and fishing. Bellevue, Nebraska - February 2020 Bellevue #3912’s Jr. PMP April Frazier, MP Barb Romero, and Kay Triplett presented Emily Marston from Make-A-Wish with a $1,000 donation.
