31 October Bellevue, Kentucky - October 2017 October 31, 2017 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles Kentucky 0 Bluegrass Eagles #964 has made the decision to step up and held support their local schools and children with much needed donations. The membership has committed to several thousand dollars worth of aid to two local schools for multiple projects over the next 5 years. Their first donation was recently made for $2,000. Related Articles Bellevue, Nebraska - October 2017 Nebraska State Aerie President Hoyt Williams, State Madam President Nadean Rhoads and Grand Madam Trustee Becky Wilson rode in style in 2018 Jeep Wrangler Convertibles as part of the annual Arrows to Aerospace Parade. They then attended a fundraiser at Aerie #3912, raising more than $1,300 for their state charities, Breast Cancer and Autism. Bellevue, Kentucky - Sept. 2017 Bellevue Eagles #964 held their 2nd Annual Salute to Police Officers on August 1 & 2. More than 100 police officers from seven cities were provided with lunch and dinner. Members shook hands with officers and thanked them for their service, including Aerie President Jerry Rardin and Auxiliary President Sheila Norman. Ladysmith, British Columbia - October 2017 Ladysmith Auxiliary #2101 recently presented lap blankets to Past Provincial Madam President Donna Roach. Donna’s special project during her year was to have Auxiliary members make lap blankets to be donated. Ladysmith members made 48 blankets which were donated to the Lodge on 4th, an intermediate care facility. Wisconsin - October 2017 The Wisconsin State Aerie recently presented a grant for $1,000 to the Wisconsin Badger Camp in Prairie du Chien, Wisc. The money will be used to improve the handicap accessibility to some of the buildings at the camp. After a comprehensive tour of the facility by Badger Camp Executive Director Brent Bowers, the check presentation was made. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan - October 2017 Sisters Jean Nurse and Darlene Beaudin of Moose Jaw Auxiliary #3395 coordinated the “Fill The Pantries” campaign this year and on October 10, held a food drive collecting 214 items and $30 in cash. All donations were given to the Riverside Mission shelter. Leavenworth, Kansas - October 2017 Leavenworth Eagles #55 held their People Helping Pantries drive, collecting 711 food items and $520 in cash for the Catholic Food Pantry.
