11 August Brainerd, Minnesota - August 2022 August 11, 2022 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles Minnesota Brainerd, Minnesota, Charity 0 Brainerd Eagles #287 recently held a fundraiser for Camp UBU. The camp was in need of funds to support less fortunate children who requested to attend. The Eagles raised $1,612 during their event. Additionally, Eagle member Amanda Bachman, who also belongs to the Brainerd Lions, requested a donation for the event and was given a surprise check for $5,000 from the Lions to help the cause. The Qing for Communities barbecue fundraiser was supported by Super One foods and the Ugly Cheesecake Factory. Thanks go to Shawn and Michelle Bailey for serving as the grill masters. Related Articles Brainerd, Minnesota - August 2018 Brainerd Aerie #287 gave seven $500 scholarships to their local class of 2018 graduates and celebrated with the winners and their families during the reception. Each student will be furthering their education at schools across Minnesota and North Dakota. According to the Aerie, many of the scholarship recipients have volunteered their time at #287. Post Falls, Idaho - August 2022 Post Falls Eagles #3682 presented a check in the amount of $3,671 to the Post Falls Police Dept., supporting the 23rd annual Holidays and Heroes program. The money was raised via a luau held by the club, featuring drawings, raffles and live music. North Mason, Washington - August 2022 North Mason Eagles #4226 donated a check for $2,000 on May 25 to North Mason Band Boosters to support students at Belfair Elementary, Sand Hill Elementary, Hawkins Middle School and North Mason High School. Thanks to the help of the bingo ladies, kitchen staff and bingo followers, more than $26,000 has been donated to local groups in Belfair and Mason County since its onset. Ladysmith, British Columbia - August 2022 Ladysmith’s local member of the Legislative Assembly introduced the Fraternal Order of Eagles and 2021-22 Provincial Worthy President Joey Lasaga and 2022-23 Provincial Madam President Bobbi Williamson to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. Both Joey and Bobbi will receive a commemorative book from the legislature and an official transcript of the proceedings, as well as a DVD of the introduction. Lake Havasu City, Arizona - August 2022 Lake Havasu Eagles #4299 donated $12,375 to Camp Courage Arizona Burn Camp.
