12 December Campbell River, British Columbia - July 2018 December 12, 2018 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles British Columbia 0 Campbell River Eagle Riders #3097 made a $3,000 donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada and Campbell River Search and Rescue. The Eagle Riders raised the money during their annual poker run, and the Kidney Foundation plans on using the donation to help with overall funding of activities. The money was raised through catering, pie, jam and bake sales, and dinners. Campbell River Eagles #3097 donated $5,000 to Kidney Cancer Research. This donation is special because it will be matched, and will turn into $10,000. These funds were raised through pie sales, caterings and a fashion show. Abbotsford, British Columbia - July 2018 Through all of Abbotsford Aerie #2726’s hard work and efforts over a few months, they were able to raise $16,281 for the Honour House Society. The Honour House Society provides a home away from home for Canadian Forces and Emergency Services personnel as they receive medical treatment in the Metro Vancouver Region. Maple Ridge, British Columbia - July 2018 Maple Ridge Auxiliary #2831 gave a donation of $1,250 to Maple Ridge’s Community Services. The money will be used for their Youth Restorative Justice program. Campbell River, British Columbia - October 2017 Members of the Campbell River Fraternal Order of Eagles were joined by Provincial Madam President Klara Shurbert on October 3 to present a check for $10,000 to the Campbell River Food Bank. “We are thrilled with the end result of all of our hard work and that so many members of our community supported our fundraising efforts,” said chairperson Marlene Jordan. “The majority of all funds were raised by numerous jam and bake sales over the last few months, and every dollar added up. Our goal was to raise as much money as we could to support some of our most vulnerable community members,” said Jordan. RMHF is a non-profit charity that invests in better health through community partnerships. North Vancouver, British Columbia - April 2018 Northwest Aerie #2638 recently donated a check for $2,851 to their local Crisis intervention and Suicide Prevention Center of British Columbia.
