Cape Girardeau, Missouri - October 2020

The Cape Girardeau Eagles #3775 hosted a benefit for long-time member of their Aerie, Dillon Rhymer. Dillon has been fighting cancer this past year, and to show their appreciation and love and support, they held a 4-day benefit in his honor. Dillon joined their Aerie in 1977 and has been an active member and officer since. He served as a Past President, Secretary, Treasurer, Trustee and many other offices and committees over the years. He has also been selected to be in the Missouri State Hall of Fame. To the Aerie and Auxiliary, Dillion was their ‘go to guy’ whenever they needed work done or help with any projects. Chairman John A. Heuer, co-chair Kevin James Randy Hahs, and John Kieffer spent weeks planning and thinking of ways to raise money that would be special for everyone to enjoy and want to support. With the help of many of Eagle members, the benefit was a great success and they raised more than $16,000 to help Dillion.
