Vermillion, South Dakota - October 2019

Sunshine Aerie #2421 held a spaghetti dinner and donated the total proceeds of $4,500 to the University of South Dakota Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Following dinner, a check presentation was made by Dakota State Chaplain Kent Osborne to Dr. Mandy Williams as a grant from the Eagles' Jimmy Durante Children's Fund to support the identification and treatment of children born with cleft palate. A signature cocktail was served with 50/50 raffles held as well.

Valley City, North Dakota - November 2018

During the first annual Pitchfork and Hoe Gathering, Greg Hager, pro country entertainer of the year 2018 and member of the Valley City Eagles #2192, donated a free performance for the vendors and people attending the Gathering. The Gathering was a tradeshow with seminars on organic farming - gardening commercial, small scale crops and livestock. A free will breakfast was held to raise money for 4H and FFA youth during the show.

Vermillion, South Dakota - Sept. 2017

The Eagle Riders of Sunshine Aerie #2421 in Vermillion congratulate Beth Kothel, winner of a 2017 Harley Davidson Road King. The drawing was held at Ribs, Rods, and Rock’n’Roll following the Eagle Riders’ 10th Annual Charity Poker Run. This was the second Harley Davidson raffled off by the Riders for charity. Kothel’s winning ticket was purchased at Riverboat Days in Yankton. 2,000 tickets were sold at a cost of $20 each. Vermillion, South Dakota - January 2017

Sunshine Aerie #2421 in Vermillion presented a grant for $5,000 from the D.D. Dunlap Kidney Fund to University of South Dakota researchers Curtis Kost, Jr., PhD and Douglas Martin, PhD for a project entitled Protective Effect of Bradykinin Receptors in Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease. The check was presented by visiting Grand Worthy President-Elect Tom McGrath.
