Rochester, Michigan - September 2019

Rochester Aerie #2634 held a golf outing, which included raffle items from the local businesses and community members, and a light meal. They were able to raise $2,000, and are allocating the funds to the Rainbow Connection of Michigan and the F.O.E. Memorial Foundation. The Auxiliary provided the food and organized the raffle items.

Rochester Auxiliary #2634 hosted a bunco game party and raised $565 for Miracle Quilts of Michigan, which is a nonprofit that creates handmade quilts for military veterans that have been hospitalized.

White Cloud, Michigan - August 2019

White Cloud Eagles Auxiliary #4170 held a meat raffle, which raised $1,000 and a swiss steak dinner, which raised $350. $450 of those proceeds was used to send first graders from White Cloud Elementary on a field trip celebrating their graduation to 2nd grade. Students traveled to Card Wildlife Education Center at Ferris State University, followed by roller skating, bowling, and a pizza picnic at a nearby park. The raffle was chaired by Jr. Past MP Tori Nader, and the dinner was chaired by PMP Flo Cosby.

Woodland, Michigan - April 2019

Stacey Rice, Woodland Aerie #3782 President, presented a $1,572.30 check to the Hope Lodge Asst. Manager, Kathryn. Hope Lodge is a place where families can stay for free while a loved is being treated with cancer. Rice’s mother passed away 8 months ago from cancer and utilized Hope Lodge’s services during that time; it was also her charity for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

Hale, Michigan - April 2019

Hale Auxiliary #4217 hosted a 30th anniversary celebration for their Auxiliary President Lillian Murray, where guests enjoyed a catered meal, with music and dancing. During the event, a $500 check was presented to GMP Althea Lane for her charity City of Hope. Michigan State MP Linda Day was also in attendance and was presented with a $250 check for her charity - the University of Michigan’s Alzheimer and Dementia Research Facility.

Imlay City, Michigan - February 2019

Over the past few months Leprechaun Eagles #4082 has made multiple charitable contributions to different organizations; they gave $1,500 to the foster kids in Lapeer county, donated $800 to the Marlette Hospice Center, and during the holidays #4082 held a benefit for three charities which included Justice for Lily, Holiday Depot, and the Shriners. From the live auction and donations from the Aerie, Auxiliary, and Eagle Riders, they were able to raise $4,300 for Justice for Lily, a pickup truck full of toys and $740 went to the Holiday Depot, and the proceeds from a mitten, scarf, and hat tree sales went to the Shriner children.

Oscoda, Michigan - February 2019

Oscoda Eagles #4237 hosted a baby shower for Carol's Baby Pantry. The gifts they were able to collect included 2,069 diapers, 1,916 baby wipes, 15 pairs of boots, 43 pairs of socks, 50 books, 28 sleepers, 5 winter coats, and 2 snow suits. More donations contained clothes, crayons, food and formula, a $100 gift card from Family Fare and a $225 donation from the Oscoda Eagles. #4237 was also sponsoring a Soup Cook Off that day where all members and guests enjoyed 11 different types of soups, sandwiches and salads provided by the club. The Baby Pantry was founded in 2002 by Carol Schmidt. Carol passed away a few years ago and the name was changed to "Carol's Baby Pantry," to honor her memory and her dedication to our communities' young families.
