Rumford Falls Auxiliary #1248 donated $10,000 to the Rumford Hospital Cardiac Rehab Unit in honor of Past Auxiliary President Mary MacDonald’s 18-year-old nephew who died of a heart ailment. “Because Brandon passed away from an undetected heart issue, I wanted to do something for him along that line, so that’s why I chose the cardiac rehab unit here at the hospital,” MacDonald said. The money was raised from private donations, and the Grand Aerie matched the grant with an additional $5,000.
