Dallas, Texas #3108 - July 2024

Dallas Eagles #3108 recently made check presentations to a trio of local organizations. The Eagles donated $14,705 to Dallas Children's Advocacy Center, which helps children dealing with removal from unsafe living situations and the court system. The money was raised by Cecilia Bailey (far right). She has been raising money for this cause for 22 years and has raised $225,000 in that time. Also pictured are Dallas members Rhea Phelan Clark, Linda Lance, Kristi Cochran and DCAC representative Liz Robinson. 

They donated $14,724.53 to the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas. SBANT hosts a summer camp for kids with spina bifida and assists families with resources and counseling. Pictured are Stacey Roberts, and Julie Carter, SBANT Board President and Dallas Eagles member. 

The final presentation was for $25,570.61 to Bridge Breast Network. Every dollar donated represents $10 in medical care and counseling for individuals battling breast cancer. Pictured are Dallas members Heather Goodin, Carrie Kitching, Cia Bond and BBN Executive Director Terry Wilson-Gray.

Santa Fe, Texas - February 2024

Santa Fe, Texas, FOE #3789 hosted the 38th Annual Cockroach Festival and BBQ Cookoff. The festivities included a dunking booth, bounce house, BBQ cookoff, live auction, live music, concessions, vendors, cake/plant wheel, raffles, and cockroach races! People came out and spent time enjoying all of the festivities. Many Eagles members also showed up and volunteered their time. They raised over $15,000 for the Aerie and to help fund the Auxillary’s scholarship program.

Crystal Beach, Texas - November 2023

Members, Families, and Patriotic supporters pre-purchased BBQ lunches for our Veterans on the Bolivar Peninsula Saturday. Eagle Aerie members used 4 BBQ pits to smoke 61 racks of Ribs for over 200 BBQ plates that were served and enjoyed by Veterans, Family, and Friends. Joining the celebration was Texas State Worthy President and Veteran, Les Fullingim from Aerie #3864 in Paris, Texas.

Texas - January 2018

2016-17 Texas State Presidents Ron Poling and Rachel Graham were proud to present a check for $50,000 to Dr. Houghton, Director of the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Ron and Rachel would like to thank all the Texas State Aerie and Auxiliary members for their hard work raising these funds. Way to go, Texas!

Bacliff, Texas - January 2018

The Auxiliary of Mainland #3199, with the help of the Aerie and Katie’s Bar, were able to donate 40 new bicycles to local children for Christmas. With so many families still recovering from the destruction of Hurricane Harvey, the Eagles’ efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of area youngsters.
