4 September Cresaptown, Maryland - June 2019 September 4, 2019 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles Maryland 0 Madam President of Cresaptown Auxiliary #2883, Kathy Hare, chose to assist in the purchase of up-dating the playground equipment of the Cresaptown Elementary School as her charity project. With the help of the Aerie and Auxiliary membership, the school students and parents, teachers and community participation, a gift of $12,500 was given for the playground project. Grand Worthy President Carl Burnett made a special visit during the check presentation to the school Principal Scott Llewellyn, Assistant Principal Staci Noah and PTO President Joy Tabb. This organization focuses its research on childhood research, and the money will be used to help fund that research. New York - June 2019 Bob Yager of Aerie #4446 was inducted into the Humanitarian section of the Grand Aerie Hall of Fame during the New York State Convention. The award was presented by New York State Secretary, Don Yanchunis. Sidney, Ohio - June 2019 Sidney Aerie #1403 donated and delivered 4 pallets of water and toiletries to the Harrison Township Fire Station #95 in Dayton, Ohio after 15 tornadoes ravaged that area on Memorial Day. Chattanooga, Tennessee - June 2019 During Chattanooga Eagles #945’s annual Memorial Day Dance, the Aerie and Auxiliary presented two grants – one for child abuse and children’s AIDS, and the other for the Heart Fund.
