Sullivan stopped into Marceline Eagles #726 to visit with Aerie and Auxiliary members. The group there presented Jerry with a check for $500 to put towards his charity, Lupus research. Kansas City, Kansas - March 2017 Wyandotte #87 held its 31st Annual Camp Discovery Juvenile Diabetes Bowling Tournament on Feb. 19. Kansas State Presidents Randy Holding of Junction City #830 and Dawn Couch of Wyandotte #87 named Camp Discovery as their State Charity for the year. A total of $4,224 was raised. Sullivan, Missouri - March 2017 Members of Meramec Valley Eagles #3781 presented a check in the amount of $6,064 to the Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Cancer Fund. Proceeds were raised during a Bingo night fundraiser held Saturday, Feb. 11, in the Aerie’s banquet hall. The money will be used to help area cancer patients. Jefferson City, Missouri - July 2018 Jefferson City Aerie #2693 presented a gift of $4,456 to the Capital Region Medical Foundation. The money will go toward a new linear accelerator in the Goldschmidt Cancer Center. The new accelerator will bring more advanced treatment options to the center’s cancer patients, radiation, and it can customize high-energy X-rays or electrons to conform to a tumor’s shape to destroy cancer cells while sparing surrounding tissue. To date, Aerie #2693 has donated more than $123,000 over the years. Cresaptown, Maryland - March 2017 The Eagles of Aerie & Auxiliary #2883 have been longtime supporters of the Interfaith Community Food Pantry on Cumberland Street. One of the fundraising projects has been the Christmas Auction, held annually at the Aerie home on McMullen Highway. In a recent presentation, a check for $3,500 was presented to John Minnich, Pantry Treasurer, and Bill Stewart, Pantry Manager. This gift was made possible due to the joint efforts of the Officers and members of both the Aerie and Auxiliary for the 2016 Christmas Auction. Maryland - March 2017 2015-2016 State Madam President Diana Booth of Frederick #1067 toured Maryland during her year to raise money for Family, Resource, Information & Education Network for Down Syndrome (F.R.I.E.N.D.S.), collecting more than $26,000.
