Syracuse, Indiana - April 2020 Lakeland Eagles #3760 in Syracuse, In. gave away free meals to families on April 25, 2020. Members provided a chicken dinner with beans, coleslaw and homemade cookies for dessert. The event lasted less than an hour and they were able to distribute 325 meals to those in need. While the meals were free, there was still an option to donate. All proceeds collected will be given to Goodwill. Over the years, the Aerie and Auxiliary has raised $50,000 for this organization, and has made it their primary annual fundraiser. When the program first started, the event hosted 35 soldiers, but now the event is able to bring more than 180 troops and more than 90 captains for a weekend of fun and fishing.
