Judy is a long time member and volunteered as a waitress before she was diagnosed with cancer. The funds will help with her medical bills, and she was beyond thrilled and overwhelmed with how many people came out to show their love and support. Related Articles Nokomis, Florida - December 2018 Venice Nokomis Eagles #3482 held a benefit for homeless veterans, where they were able to raise over $3,000 in monetary donations, 2 truckloads of clothing, blanket, tents, and hygiene products. Lehigh Acres, Florida - March 2019 Lehigh Acres Eagles #3938 donated over 700lbs. of food that was collected during the Celebration of Life for Marjorie Wallace. The donations were split between the Lehigh Community Services and the Faith Lutheran Church. Lehigh Acres, Florida - April 2019 Following the passing of Lehigh Acres Auxiliary #3938’s beloved member Marjorie Wallace, a celebration of life was held for her at the club. The family requested attendees bring nonperishable items to honor the giving and generous spirit of Marje. Over 700lbs. of goods were collected and distributed to two local food banks. Lehigh Acres, Florida - July 2019 Lehigh Acres Eagles #3938 helped raise $2,106 for the Garner family, who needed assistance with burial costs for their family member. They raised the money by hosting a cake auction fundraiser. Florida - February 2018 On Dec. 1, more than 70 men and women from the Florida State Aerie & Auxiliary enjoyed an afternoon reception hosted by the Florida Hospital Foundation. During the reception, the FOE was recognized for attaining a place of honor on the Foundation’s Lifetime Donor Hall of Fame by exceeding one half-million dollars in contributions. David Collis, President of the Florida Hospital Foundation, told the group that in appreciation for the outstanding achievement, the hospital renamed four key rooms within the facility in honor of the F.O.E. They are as follows: FOE Vitals Room in the Florida Hospital for Children FOE Library in the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute FOE Conference Room in the Florida Hospital Cardiovascular Institute FOE Creation Consult Room in the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute During the ceremony, Collis also presented Florida Past State Madam President Michelle McCarthy with a special plaque in honor of her continued dedication and generosity to Florida Hospital. St. Albert, Alberta - December 2018 Between the 2018 ADF Classic Car for a Cure and the Annual Rock’n August Week activities, St. Albert Aerie #2102 was able to give a combined contribution of $150,000 to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
