Related Articles Lehigh Acres, Florida - April 2019 Following the passing of Lehigh Acres Auxiliary #3938’s beloved member Marjorie Wallace, a celebration of life was held for her at the club. The family requested attendees bring nonperishable items to honor the giving and generous spirit of Marje. Over 700lbs. of goods were collected and distributed to two local food banks. Lehigh Acres, Florida - July 2019 Lehigh Acres Eagles #3938 helped raise $2,106 for the Garner family, who needed assistance with burial costs for their family member. They raised the money by hosting a cake auction fundraiser. Silver Springs, Florida - March 2019 Ocala Forest Eagles #4216 held their 6th Annual State Presidents 5K Charity Walk to raise money for their State Presidents charities. To help raise more money, the members organized a group of volunteers to get sponsors for the T-shirts by approaching local businesses, and also got over 100 different items like gift cards and t-shirts to raffle off. From membership across the state of Florida, #4216 was able to collect over $5,000 in walk sponsorship money. After T-shirt, Raffle, 50/50, Food and T-shirt advertisements sales, they were able to present their State Worthy President Bill Lucik with a check for $4,411.50 for his charity Fairways for Warriors, and State Madam President Melanie Day with a check for $4,411.50 for her charity Florida Hospital for Pompe Disease. Lehigh Acres, Florida - December 2018 Lehigh Acres Auxiliary #3938 raised $1,950 during a benefit to help support a well-loved member, Judy. Judy is a long time member and volunteered as a waitress before she was diagnosed with cancer. The funds will help with her medical bills, and she was beyond thrilled and overwhelmed with how many people came out to show their love and support. Lock Haven, Pennsylvania - March 2019 Captain Dan Johnson of the Salvation Army accepted a $5,000 donation from the Lock Haven Aerie #4298. Presenters are Eagle Officers and Trustees Ron Bowes, JoAnn Bowes, George Stefanski, Kasey Campbell, Maud Peck, Todd Kreidler and Ken Wert. Loveland, Ohio - March 2019 Grand Madam President Althea Lane visited the Loveland Auxiliary #3006 and received more than $600 for her charity, City of Hope.
