28 April Nampa, Idaho - April 2017 April 28, 2017 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles Idaho 0 Nampa Eagles #2103 has raised more than $20,000 for Veteran’s Therapeutic Gardens. Past Presidents Lyle Clausen and Dave Summers and President Keith Jones encouraged the Aerie and Auxiliary to work together on a St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser Dinner and Dance. The Lyle Sinclair Band donated their time and Summers prepared corned beef and cabbage. The event raised $3,527.50. After hearing a presentation from VTG President Gayle Strack, an 11-year Eagle member, Terri Warren reached out to several area businesses for assistance in completing the garden. Warren secured 395’ of mesh fence from Boulder Creek Landscape owner Eric Scott, then received the complete amount of hardware needed to complete the fence from Silver Creek Supply owner Larry Carruth, at the recommendation of Scott. Warren secured the entire fence, sliding and man gates, half of the installation and concrete for the job. The goal is for the fence to be up by April 30. Once the fence is up, Veteran’s Therapeutic Gardens will be able to accept donations such as a garden shed, tools, vegetable boxes, plants and landscaping.
