The money will go toward helping Needles Student Travel Group’s trip to Washington D.C. in June 2019. Anchorage, Alaska - August 2018 Anchorage Aerie #4207 presented a $5,694 check to Kids Kitchen, a local meal program in the Fairview Community. Contributions were collected for Past State Madam President Laura Rhode’s charity project during her tenure from 2016-2017. Kids Kitchen has been providing one million meals to children since 1996. Umatilla, Florida - August 2018 During Umatilla Aerie and Auxiliary #4491’s 13th anniversary party, Sheryl Sanders, Madam President of Auxiliary 4491, presented eight sensory weighted blankets for the Autistic Children in the Lake County School System to teachers from Umatilla Elementary, Umatilla Middle, Spring Creek Charter, and Umatilla High School. These efforts were coordinated through Region 1 with the assistance of Miranda Cornwell, Executive Secretary, and Dr. Abner, PhD, Exceptional Student Education. Edgewater, Florida - August 2018 New Smyrna Beach-Edgewater #4242 was able to raise $36,837 during the 2017-2018 Fraternal year, which is the most the Aerie has ever raised. They also awarded their Worthy President Paul Clarey with a gold card to commemorate his service and last year at the club. Brisbane, California - March 2018 Brisbane Aerie #3255 held a Lasagna Dinner, which raised $1,388 for the Max Baer Heart Fund. Vernon, British Columbia - August 2018 Vernon Aerie #3557 hosted the provincial convention in honor of Klara Schubert, the Provincial Madam President for the 2017-2018 Fraternal year. For Schubert’s Breast Cancer charity, $21,630.25 was raised from various proceeds including selling ladybug pins, and a special raffle at the convention.
