During the visit, the Grand Presidents honored long-serving members with pins. #3718 had raised money from a turkey dinner event and was able to make two $500 donations to each President’s charity, F.O.E. Related Articles Sullivan, Missouri - August 2020 Meramec Valley Eagles #3781 recently donated 3 pallets of water bottles to the Sullivan, Bourbon, Spring Bluff and Strain-Japan school districts and St. Anthony’s. The donation totals 5,616 bottles of water and will be disturbed to local schools to assist in needs of students or staff due to COVID restrictions for the upcoming school year. #3781 is celebrating 43 years (est. Aug 28, 1977), and is proud to serve and support the Sullivan and Bourbon communities! Shell Knob, Missouri - August 2020 Shell Knob Eagles #4155 partnered with the Central Crossing Senior Center. The CCS Center is an advocate for seniors, and is providing them with residential opportunities. Photo Credit: Cassville Democrat Austin, Minnesota - April 2020 Lookout Eagles #703 made a $1,500 donation to Hot Meals on Wheels. The donation made it possible for the organization to purchase shelf stable foods and new reusable red bags that could be filled and delivered to recipients. Brainerd, Minnesota - August 2022 Brainerd Eagles #287 recently held a fundraiser for Camp UBU. The camp was in need of funds to support less fortunate children who requested to attend. The Eagles raised $1,612 during their event. Additionally, Eagle member Amanda Bachman, who also belongs to the Brainerd Lions, requested a donation for the event and was given a surprise check for $5,000 from the Lions to help the cause. The Qing for Communities barbecue fundraiser was supported by Super One foods and the Ugly Cheesecake Factory. Thanks go to Shawn and Michelle Bailey for serving as the grill masters. Anchorage, Alaska - August 2020 Anchorage Auxiliary #4207 member Dina Niver was recently surprised with a plaque commemorating her induction in the Grand Auxiliary Hall of Fame. Dina served as Alaska State Madam President for the 2009-10 fraternal year and served as Pacific Northwest Regional Madam President in 2017-18. Old Town, Florida - August 2020 Old Town #4520 recently stepped up to help an area veteran in need. The steps leading to Amos Cannon’s home were falling apart, so two donors provided materials and Secretary Jason Tilley provided the labor to fix the stairs and give Mr. Cannon a brand new set of steps leading to his front door.
