Auxiliary # 3718 celebrated their 46th Anniversary on May 6, by honoring charter members and Past Presidents. Also there to celebrate was State Madam President, Nancy Wadsworth. She chose Hope Chest for Breast Cancer as her charity, as she is a cancer survivor. Checks were presented to Nancy and director, Maureen Failor of Hope Chest. Related Articles New Brighton, Minnesota - July 2019 Minnesota State Aerie President Mike Hanson’s charity for his year was the Make A Wish Foundation of Minnesota. He had a goal of $20,000, but he was able to raise a total of $28,422.93. The Grand Aerie gave a grant of $5,000 and the New Brighton Eagles made a gambling donation of $8,000, but overall the balance was raised by the members of New Brighton Eagles #3718. Hanson raised the money by cooking burgers, hosting steak fry’s, live auctions, grab bags, and contributed personal donations during his year as State President. The average wish is about $6,500, so this will help to make more than a few wishes come true. New Brighton, Minnesota - August 2020 New Brighton Eagles #3718 was proud to host visits from Grand Madam President Jacque Marble and Grand Worthy President Dave Smith at the same time. During the visit, the Grand Presidents honored long-serving members with pins. #3718 had raised money from a turkey dinner event and was able to make two $500 donations to each President’s charity, F.O.E. Diabetes Research Center - Bridge to the Cure. Huntsville, Alabama - July 2018 Huntsville Aerie #3263 donated $6,850 to support Hudson Alpha’s Impacting ALS Project, Memory & Mobility Project for neurological diseases. Hudson Alpha is a nonprofit institute where scientists, educators and entrepreneurs are creating a healthier, more sustainable world through genomics. Apache Junction, Arizona - July 2018 Lost Dutchman Aerie and Auxiliary #3850 donated $5,100 to their local youth program for the Apache Junction Unified School District. Abbotsford, British Columbia - July 2018 Through all of Abbotsford Aerie #2726’s hard work and efforts over a few months, they were able to raise $16,281 for the Honour House Society. The Honour House Society provides a home away from home for Canadian Forces and Emergency Services personnel as they receive medical treatment in the Metro Vancouver Region. Campbell River, British Columbia - July 2018 Campbell River Eagle Riders #3097 made a $3,000 donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada and Campbell River Search and Rescue. The Eagle Riders raised the money during their annual poker run, and the Kidney Foundation plans on using the donation to help with overall funding of activities.
