12 December Penticton, British Columbia - May 2018 December 12, 2018 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles British Columbia 0 The Penticton Eagles #4281 have donated a combined $12,700 to Penticton Regional Hospital, including almost $3,700 to the SOS Medical Foundation’s efforts to support the delivery of quality health services. The funding will also cover areas such as Oncology, Pediatrics, Cardio, Diabetes and Kidneys, and the Moog & Friends Hospice House. Since 2015, the Penticton Eagles #4281 have now donated more than $45,000 to the Medical Foundation’s tower campaign. The provincial government has also approved the naming of the “Fraternal Order of Eagles Room” in the new tower, set to open in April 2019. Victoria, British Columbia - April 2018 Victoria Aerie # 12 donated $500 to help send the “Atom Smashers” team from Esquimalt High School and their robot “Spike “to the First World Robotics championship in Huston, Texas. North Vancouver, British Columbia - June 2018 Northwest Aerie #2638 held a fundraiser and ended up donating $2,380 to Covenant House Vancouver, which is a non-profit that provides love and hope through Continuum of Care to street youth who have fled physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse. Abbotsford, British Columbia - July 2018 Through all of Abbotsford Aerie #2726’s hard work and efforts over a few months, they were able to raise $16,281 for the Honour House Society. The Honour House Society provides a home away from home for Canadian Forces and Emergency Services personnel as they receive medical treatment in the Metro Vancouver Region. Campbell River, British Columbia - July 2018 Campbell River Eagle Riders #3097 made a $3,000 donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada and Campbell River Search and Rescue. The Eagle Riders raised the money during their annual poker run, and the Kidney Foundation plans on using the donation to help with overall funding of activities.
