Colorado Springs, Colorado - May 2018 East Side Aerie #3260 made a generous donation to the Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, which will provide 32,000 nutritious meals to those in need. ElDorado Springs, Colorado - March 2018 Tri Lakes Aerie #4279 hosted its annual charity auction where they raised $7,063. The proceeds will go to High Hopes, which assists cancer patients with travel expenses. Federal Heights, Colorado - April 2018 Aerie #4019 held a breakfast fundraiser to support Shield 616 and the Federal Heights Police Department, where they raised $1,200. Recently, three police officers were shot and killed in the line of duty. The Aerie was saddened by the tragic officer deaths and wanted to do something to help the men and women who risk their lives daily. The cause, Shield 616 “Support the Shield” helps better equip the men and women in the local police department safe with the best gear possible to keep them safe. Through the donated funds, Shield 616 will purchase and distribute rifle-ready protection designed for quick deployment to departments across Colorado. Lake Havasu City, Arizona - November 2018 Lake Havasu #4299 held their annual Miss Mess contest, and raised $4,269 for Art Ehrmann Cancer month. The money will go toward cancer research, GMP’s City of Hope charity, Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and Leukemia research. Abbotsford, British Columbia - November 2018 Abbotsford Aerie #2726 donated $1,500 to Cops for Cancer. The money will cover the funds to send one child to camp Goodtimes – which is a cancer camp for kids. The funds were raised during a dinner held for police and first responders who attend #2726’s annual bike tour to raise money for kids with cancer.
