30 November Rainier, Oregon - November 2020 November 30, 2020 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles Oregon 0 Rainier Eagles #4022 recently donated 386 pounds of food to HOPE of Rainier food bank. According to the Rainier Chief News, the food pantry is helping roughly 110 families each month – a 15% increase over last year amidst the pandemic. Related Articles Lincoln City, Oregon - July 2020 North Lincoln Eagles #2576 came together to provide meals for seniors and compromised citizens for quarantined individuals during this pandemic. Aerie member and caterer Frank Napoleon recognized the need for providing meals, and worked with Grill 1646 owner Dan, and Auxiliary President Bahni Thayer to put their plan to action. They coordinated a crew of about eight volunteers, and was able to prepare 60 meals for the first week, that were delivered by a few drivers. Now, they are currently preparing and delivering 250 meals a week, with over 20 volunteers assisting. #2576’s Aerie President Dave Randleman has also been taking the calls for meals, and schedules the deliveries. Through generous support and contributions, they plan to continue their meal delivery program until September. To date, more than 7,000 meals have been prepared and delivered by Aerie #2576 and their volunteers. Marceline, Missouri - November 2020 Marceline Auxiliary #726 held a Food Pantry Drive and collected an additional $300 in monetary donations as well. The drive was hosted by Aux. President Dana Holt, Aux. Vice President Abbey Cagle, and chaired by Zoe Tolliver. South Central Region - November 2020 During the annual South Central Regional Conference last month in Jefferson City, Mo., Eagles from Missouri and Kansas raised a total of $15,600 for the FOE Diabetes Research Center Bridge to the Cure project. Through program book ad sales, 50/50 raffles, a live auction and more, the members combined to raise an incredible sum of money benefiting the charity of Grand Madam President Jacque Marble, who attended the conference, and Grand Worthy President Dave Smith. Sullivan, Missouri - November 2020 Meramec Auxiliary #3781 held their Annual Yard Sale event and was able to raise $3,673.81. The proceeds were split and donated to Meramec Community Mission and Bourbon Thrift Store Pantry. Millersburg, Ohio - November 2020 Millersburg Eagles #2418 recently presented a plaque to members Bill and Jeannie Young for the generous donation they made to the club to help remodel their kitchen. Bedford, Ohio - November 2020 Bedford Eagles #2122 recently stepped up to help a local business in need during the pandemic.
