Rockland, Massachusetts - October 2017

Rockland Eagles #841 recently welcomed former New England Patriot Joe Andruzzi for a special presentation. The Eagles presented Andruzzi with a check for $10,000 to benefit the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, which provides financial assistance to patients and families battling cancer, allowing them to focus on recovery instead of bills. The foundation also funds research at Boston Children’s Hospital. Andruzzi was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Burkitt’s lymphoma in 2007, ending his football career. In 2008, they created the foundation to give back to those facing similar battles. Pictured, l to r, are Steve Maroney, Past Worthy President Mark Mahoney, Joe Andruzzi and Worthy President Paul Emery.
