Springfield, Missouri - July 2019 Springfield Eagles #3934 hosted their annual MO. State Presidents visit. The Aerie and Auxiliary both donated $5,000 each to the State Presidents Alen Powell and Theresa Robinson’s charity, the Make A Wish Foundation. An additional $2,500 was given to Camp Hope, and $2,000 was given to Bar H. Ranch. A total of $14, 500 was distributed throughout the day. These donations were made possible by hosting weekly bingo games by the Aerie and Auxiliary. Springfield, Missouri - February 2019 Queen City Eagles #3934 recently hosted their MO State Presidents. Both Aerie and Auxiliary, jointly, donated $10,000 to their State President’s charity Make A Wish. They also donated $2,500 to their charity Camp Hope, and gave another $2,000 to the charity of their SCRP. Overall, they donated $14,500, and raised the money by hosting bingo and Queen of Hearts. Vermillion, South Dakota - October 2019 Sunshine Aerie #2421 held a spaghetti dinner and donated the total proceeds of $4,500 to the University of South Dakota Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Following dinner, a check presentation was made by Dakota State Chaplain Kent Osborne to Dr. Mandy Williams as a grant from the Eagles' Jimmy Durante Children's Fund to support the identification and treatment of children born with cleft palate. A signature cocktail was served with 50/50 raffles held as well. Valdez, Alaska - October 2019 Valdez Ladies Auxiliary 1971 Madam President Sheila Jordan, Trustee Chair Alicia Brown and Madam Secretary Carole Derifield presented the Herman Hutchins Elementary School Principal Jayson Webber, teachers and staff, $1,000 for each grade K through 5th, and gave the VCS Pre-school $500. The Auxiliary also presented the Gilson Middle School Principal Rod Morrison $1,000 each for grades 6th through 8th for a total of $9,500 donated to be used for scholarships. Boonville, Missouri - April 2019 Boonville Eagles #1022 presented a $5,000 grant to David Barton Elementary School to help fund a new all-inclusive playground, providing a safe and exciting space for the students in grades 3-5 to play.
