30 November Sutherlin, Virginia - October 2020 November 30, 2020 By The Fraternal Order of Eagles Virginia 0 Piedmont Eagles #4420 held their eleventh annual Dean Ferris Memorial Ride, and in its ninth year of benefiting the Danville Pittsylvania Cancer Association, they were able to raise $11,750 for the organization. Related Articles Virginia City, Nevada - May 2020 Comstock Aerie #523 is donating $1,000 per month, for the next five months to Community Chest, Inc. to help assist with food, rental, and utility payments for those affected by COVID-19. They are donating an additional two $500 payments per month to go towards food for the Storey County Senior Center. Fredericksburg, Virginia - June 2020 Fredericksburg Eagles #4123 has been proudly supporting their Eagle Brothers, Ryan Pritt and Reggie Alcaraz, as they continue their racing careers at Dominion Raceway. Boonville, Missouri - October 2020 Boonville Eagles #1022 recently donated $1,000 to the Boonslick Senior Center serving Cooper County in Missouri. The BSC provides a senior nutrition program, and as a home delivery meal program service. In non-pandemic times, the Center is a source for senior fellowship, advocacy, fun and activities. Manitowoc, Wisconsin - October 2020 Manitowoc Aerie #706 recently held a fundraiser to help the Manitowoc County Miracles Special Olympics. A donation of $1,140 was made in memory of former Miracles Athlete and Aerie member Paul Horner. Oregon - October 2020 Earlier in the month of October, a caravan of 3 vehicles drove to Mill City, Oregon to deliver items collected for the fire relief victims. Eagles from North Portland #3426, Cornelius #4177, Portland #4, and Smoke Tree Mobil Home Community came together to help the Mill City Aerie. Several members of #3384’s homes were lost to the wildfires. Cape Girardeau, Missouri - October 2020 The Cape Girardeau Eagles #3775 hosted a benefit for long-time member of their Aerie, Dillon Rhymer. Dillon has been fighting cancer this past year, and to show their appreciation and love and support, they held a 4-day benefit in his honor. Dillon joined their Aerie in 1977 and has been an active member and officer since. He served as a Past President, Secretary, Treasurer, Trustee and many other offices and committees over the years. He has also been selected to be in the Missouri State Hall of Fame. To the Aerie and Auxiliary, Dillion was their ‘go to guy’ whenever they needed work done or help with any projects. Chairman John A. Heuer, co-chair Kevin James Randy Hahs, and John Kieffer spent weeks planning and thinking of ways to raise money that would be special for everyone to enjoy and want to support.
