Related Articles St. Albert, Alberta - December 2018 Between the 2018 ADF Classic Car for a Cure and the Annual Rock’n August Week activities, St. Albert Aerie #2102 was able to give a combined contribution of $150,000 to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation. They were able to raise the funds from their various events, 50/50 raffles, and a button selling program, which contributed over $25,000 to the total. Lake Havasu City, Arizona - December 2018 Lake Havasu City Aerie #4299 partook in Chloride Campout’s Old Miners Day Parade 2018 where they entered a float and won a ‘Best Overall’ trophy. Campbell River, British Columbia - December 2018 Campbell River Aerie and Auxiliary #3097 presented an $8,150 check and donated a total of 1,447 food items to their local food back. The money was raised through catering, pie, jam and bake sales, and dinners. Campbell River Eagles #3097 donated $5,000 to Kidney Cancer Research. This donation is special because it will be matched, and will turn into $10,000. These funds were raised through pie sales, caterings and a fashion show. Brisbane, California - December 2018 Co-chairs Tracy and Debra Jennings raised $1,003 for Brisbane Eagles #3255’s annual kidney fund. Brisbane #3255 co-chairs Kelcey McGurty and Annie Good, held a fun day of Trivia in September and raised $1,025 for the Alzheimer's Fund. Brisbane #3255 held a Diabetes Fund dinner, co-chaired by Tony Lujan and Julie Banks. Everyone had a good time and they were able to donate $1,918 to the cause. Lehigh Acres, Florida - December 2018 Lehigh Acres Auxiliary #3938 raised $1,950 during a benefit to help support a well-loved member, Judy. Judy is a long time member and volunteered as a waitress before she was diagnosed with cancer. The funds will help with her medical bills, and she was beyond thrilled and overwhelmed with how many people came out to show their love and support. Nokomis, Florida - December 2018 Venice Nokomis Eagles #3482 held a benefit for homeless veterans, where they were able to raise over $3,000 in monetary donations, 2 truckloads of clothing, blanket, tents, and hygiene products.
