Tucson, Arizona - April 2017

During their annual awards ceremony on April 23, Tucson Eagles #180 presented a check for $5,000 to the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Research Center. The grant was received from the Eagles’ Max Baer Heart Fund thanks to the contributions from their regular fish dinners. Pictured are President David N. Galaz, Secretary Patricia Weichert and U of A representative Cheryl House. House explained that the money will be used to obtain blood samples and store them in a data bank and tissue bank to provide material and information which researchers can use for future studies to understand the biology and treatment of human disease.
