Children's Day

Children's Day

The Fraternal Order of Eagles deeply values its position as a beacon within our communities. Each year, the organization holds a Children’s Day contest encouraging our local Aeries and Auxiliaries to organize community events centered around the education of our youth. From providing valuable prevention education to creating a safe and fun environment to express creativity, these events offer the comfort of home and a spirit of camaraderie to all who attend. Our members reach out to local police and fire departments, safety instructors, teachers and more to plan informative sessions that educate children using interactive methods.

Events held between August 1 and June 1 of the following year are eligible for consideration in our Children’s Day contest. Once finished, Aeries/Auxiliaries can document the process and the successes of their events and mail the information along with an official entry form and any news coverage obtained to the Grand Aerie Headquarters for judging. A winner will be selected during the International Convention and announced to the public, with the winning group receiving a $3,000 grant from the Eagles' Children's Fund to be presented to a local organization of their choice.
